Every year, the festivities offer a host of new skins, brand new modes, seasonal changes to maps, festive loot boxes, and more. Winter Wonderland is Overwatch's annual Christmas event. However, this is all speculation and should be confirmed soon. If we were to expect this year's event to last for the longest time possible, Winter Wonderland 2021 can could run from December 10th and January 5th. Based on these past events, the start date has never been before December 10th and the end date has never gone further than January 5th. Winter Wonderland 2020 lasted from December 15th to January 5th, while 2019 went from December 10th to January 2nd.

The event is now live on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2021 Map Changes Winter Wonderland 2020 will run in Overwatch from Dec. Opposing players will become frozen - the effect looks similar to Mei’s Cryo-Freeze ability - when they would normally die, but teammates can thaw them out (revive them, in other words).
Overwatch’s new limited-time mode, 4v4 Freezethaw Elimination, requires one team to completely freeze the other team in order to win. Players can unlock the following skins by winning nine games each week: In addition to five legendary skins that can be earned from event loot boxes, three epic skins can be earned through weekly challenges in Overwatch.

Of course, Blizzard Entertainment has also given Overwatch players a fresh batch of holiday and winter-themed skins to earn, including the delightful Penguin Mei, Toybot Zenyatta, and Lumberjack Torbjörn. Winter Wonderland 2020 brings with it limited-time game modes from previous years (Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, and Snowball Deathmatch), as well as a new mode: 4v4 Freezethaw Elimination.
